 This laser disc is only the second performance film released by Depeche Mode. It was filmed during the Devotional tour during 1993, by Anton Corbijn. This film was a Grammy Award Nominee for Best Long Form Music Video. Devotional was released in France, distributed by BMG video, reference is '74321 17213 6'. The sleeve was printed in Germany and you can read on the laser disc 'Mastered by DADC Austria'. Devotional was also released in Japan, with an extra quotes (In Japanese, with the name of the songs in English) and a drawing of the stage by Corbijn. Devotional is a beautiful film, and a wonder to experience even if you were stuck in the very last row at the very top of the concert hall for the only Devotional tour performance you had a chance to see. The laser disc is particularly stunning due to it's inclusion of Behind The Wheel, Mercy In You, Everything Counts, and an incomparable performance of Fly On The Windscreen. The laser disc was only released in the US. |
